The City of Fairfax Professional Firefighters and Paramedics IAFF Local 2702 joined the Breast Cancer Awareness Initiative in 2009.

In cooperation with the City of Fairfax Fire Department, we provide each operational member with a pink t-shirt to wear on-duty during the month of October. In addition, we sell similar t-shirts to member’s families, friends, and the general public with all proceeds going to the Susan G. Komen Foundation. Through these t-shirts we increase awareness of breast cancer and provide funds to support individuals during their most difficult time.

With your generous donations and support over the past 5 years, the City of Fairfax Professional Firefighters and Paramedics IAFF Local 2702 has been able to donate $3615 dollars towards the fight for a cure to breast cancer and the efforts to support the individuals and families afflicted with this disease.

We look forward to continuing to support this program next year and encourage everyone to join us in wearing pink during the Month of October and donate to this great cause.
